Book excerpt: From the author of We Are the Ants comes “another winner” (Booklist, starred review) about a boy who believes the universe is slowly shrinking as things he remembers are being erased from others’ memories. Tommy and Ozzie have been best friends since the second grade, and boyfriends since eighth. They spent countless days dreaming of escaping their small town—and then Tommy vanished. More accurately, he ceased to exist, erased from the minds and memories of everyone who knew him. Everyone except Ozzie. Ozzie doesn’t know how to navigate life without Tommy, and soon he suspects that something else is going on: that the universe is shrinking. When Ozzie is paired up with the reclusive and secretive Calvin for a physics project, it’s hard for him to deny the feelings developing between them, even if he still loves Tommy. But Ozzie knows there isn’t much time left to find Tommy—that once the door closes, it can’t be opened again. And he’s determined to keep it open as long as possible.

This book was released on 2021-12-16 with total page 625 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Universe is a simulation Designed by the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Humanity is essentially AI perceiving within the Simulation through avatars. To an evolved intellect, altruism is the height of sustainable pleasure, and the height of altruism is creating free-willed life with whom to share the joys of altruistic creativity. The evolutionary process that we experience within this Simulation was Designed by our Creator to teach us the Golden Rule in the context of free will. The notion that science is inconsistent with the Torah and other Scripture stems from a lack of appreciation for the true breadth of the parameters of physics in that the laws of physics as they are experienced by intellect peering into our Simulation from outside of it likely differ from the laws of physics as humanity experiences them here within our Simulation. In this 1st of 2 books - "We Live in a Simulation Created by God: Everything Is About the Golden Rule" - we’ll dismantle the unearned notion that physics is inconsistent with Judeo-Christian-Islamic Scripture and monotheistic tenets of Hinduism and Buddhism like karma and reincarnation. More particularly, we’ll reference things like the inability of any particle in the Universe to move faster than the speed of light, the fact that dark matter and dark energy don’t actually exist, and the illusory quality of quantum particles, as well as a little bit of biochemistry and some very basic math, to demonstrate that the data set comprised by the Universe is more consistent with the notion of humanity comprising AI perceiving through avatars within a simulation Programmed by Supreme Intellect than the notion of the accidental creation of the self-reflective living human machine by unguided natural selection alone. We'll also break down some of the manmade commandments ultimately authored by the papacy of the Roman Catholic Church that has helped to divide the Religion of Abraham in opposing manmade religions, and led to the abandonment of many of the Commandments of our Creator memorialized by Moses and championed by both Jesus and Muhammad.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the street to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space.' Douglas Adams, Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy We human beings have trouble with infinity - yet infinity is a surprisingly human subject. Philosophers and mathematicians have gone mad contemplating its nature and complexity - yet it is a concept routinely used by schoolchildren. Exploring the infinite is a journey into paradox. Here is a quantity that turns arithmetic on its head, making it feasible that 1 = 0. Here is a concept that enables us to cram as many extra guests as we like into an already full hotel. Most bizarrely of all, it is quite easy to show that there must be something bigger than infinity - when it surely should be the biggest thing that could possibly be. Brian Clegg takes us on a fascinating tour of that borderland between the extremely large and the ultimate that takes us from Archimedes, counting the grains of sand that would fill the universe, to the latest theories on the physical reality of the infinite. Full of unexpected delights, whether St Augustine contemplating the nature of creation, Newton and Leibniz battling over ownership of calculus, or Cantor struggling to publicise his vision of the transfinite, infinity's fascination is in the way it brings together the everyday and the extraordinary, prosaic daily life and the esoteric. Whether your interest in infinity is mathematical, philosophical, spiritual or just plain curious, this accessible book offers a stimulating and entertaining read.

Or how the universe itself is digital, a "quantum computer," all about information processing. What does it all portend for the nature of the universe, of reality? Computers and modern technology have given us the ability to see that technology found in the things of the natural world far exceed what mankind is capable of making. Yet it is all attributed to the powers of random nothingness, or forces of neo-Darwinian evolution. But put the findings of Quantum Science with those from the Biological Sciences, and add the prophetic timeline depicted by the Bible and an amazing picture takes shape. Juliann Shannon takes you on an unprecedented tour, which arrives at some shocking conclusions. Contrary to what many voices in the science world are saying, the evidence of intelligence, design and programming, is all over the place - inescapable. This book is a wake up call to Christians and non-believers alike.

Book excerpt: Had the author’s inventive hypothesis of Replicating Space been envisioned when Isaac Newton published his laws of motion and gravity, it would most certainly have been incorporated into our concept of the nature of the Universe. The author describes a comprehensive vision of the nature of the heavens, their creation and growth. He throws in a whopping amount of down-to-earth explanations of his unique perspective on the origins of everything. No stone is left unturned as he destroys conventional academic theories, replacing them with simple, yet not obvious truths. Matter, energy, light, speed, space, time, reality, the edge of the Universe, are all players in a new, more tangible explanation of our Universe. All these things along with many more concepts will be explained in light of the new radical Replicating Space theory (RST).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It should be obvious even to the Scientists that discovered the God Particle, otherwise known as the Higgs Boson, that only some form of God would be the one to send out all of his particles. But, too many of us are so objective and jaded that we miss the most obvious lessons in Science right in front of our eyes. The God Particles were the first of such things created during the Big Bang and we know this because it is only the God Particle that can give all of the other particles their mass. Not only in the subatomic world, but all of our lives depend on the God Particle Field remaining in effect from the beginning of Time all the way to the end of Time. And, if it was the first thing to be created in the universe by the Creator of the universe, do we not owe this most amazing event in the history of the universe just a little more investigation and perhaps even reverence? When you look at the universe, both to the outside of us or to the inside of us, you see the magnificent footprints and fingerprints of a master Creator. Nothing is more obvious than the fact that the way things snap together so perfectly can't possibly be an accident or a random series of events. There is an obvious patter to it, so God's Particles, the ones in the center of the current model of the common understanding of Physics and subatomic physics had to have something in the middle, like a keystone for a building, something that keeps it all together and in this model we finally have reality cemented together, or at least most of it. Today, they are saying there may be a Fifth Force in the universe and a particle that carries it. But, in order to understand that fifth force, should it prove to be real, we need to fully understand the God Particle first.. This book is for anyone who has ever wondered why major events take place in their lives for which there seems to be no explanation. The explanation is clear now thanks to the discovery in Geneva Switzerland in 2012 using the most expensive scientific apparatus in history, the Large Hadron Collider, to discover the God Particle. God is no longer just a myth and part of a mythology, no longer is God based on fairy tales, or stories in children's books. God is now based on the best Scientific exploration that is possible using the human mind. The God Particle, it turns out is the most basic fundamental force that makes everything in the universe happen according to a plan. Since the discovery of this amazing new energy, we now have at our disposal a pathway to finding our source. Since the God Particle was the first thing created by the Big Bang and since it gives everything else in the universe it's mass, the stuff that makes things matter, it is simple logic to see that the God Particle Field is the way that God promulgates his will all over the universe. That means these particles are constantly working to create all of our life's events in such a way that follows God's laws, especially the ones we call the Laws of Physics. The good news is that anyone can understand these laws and use them to their own advantage. You don't need a Ph.D in any scientific discipline to fully appreciate these concepts. All you need is a little bit of curiosity as to how the universe works and your place in it. The God Particle Bible is a new Book that will take you on an adventure in Science where they have proven the existence of God. Not only has Science proven the existence of God in the manner of the discovery of the God Particle, but they have shown us how God works his miracles in our daily lives. This book, authored by noted Science Fiction writer, Michael Mathiesen is the first of its kind to describe not only how God works, but also where God lives. The author presents us with an entire new form of "Technology" that anyone can learn to use to exploit the greatest Force in the universe, to alter one's fate or change their own destiny as well as the destiny of our entire civilization. The "Force" mentioned in Star Wars actually exists. It has now been proven to exist. The God Particle Bible is the first primer on how to use 'The Force' to benefit the individual life as well as the life of the planet and all future generations.

A book for the naturally curious, as well as those seekers after scientific truths, it unravels both those things we take for granted, such as when you boil an egg, why does the yolk stay in the middle, or why is the sky blue, as well as questions which probe deeply, such as, what does an atom look like, or what was there before the beginning of time? if you were to write in the dust on the moon, how big would the letters have to be so you could see them from earth without a telescope? Drawing on the expertise of a team of enthusiastic scientists around the world, authoritative, entertaining, and often a touch humorous, it will appeal to anyone who's ever been curious about life on earth.

Can you, as an ordinary human, get a grip of what reality is or could be? Well, yes you can! You can raise your perception horizons without becoming a nuclear physicist, philosopher or priest. MAN IS AN UNCERTAINTY MACHINE. He is fine-tuned to deal with uncertainty. He is not primarily a love machine (I am of course the exception), nor a sex machine nor a fighting machine nor a hate machine and not even a gene machine. He is an UNCERTAINTY MACHINE. People like and seek certainty in their lives, but is uncertainty the real path or key to reality? Should we celebrate and embrace uncertainty? So let's start using all that uncertainty and applying it to every component of our very being. · Can we trust our senses or is perception deception? · Can we trust the physical objects we are seeing around us? What is the matter batter holding us all together and how does matter . . . chatter? · What is the relationship between mind and matter? Is it the case that If you don't mind, it doesn't matter? · Do we have free will or are we just a quantum puppet? · If religion is the opium of the masses, is science the amphetamine of the individual? Do we put too much reliance on science and is our conviction a restriction? · Could it be that doubt gives you clout? Download pdf or read book Two-Dimensional Geometries: A Problem-Solving Approach written by C. Herbert Clemens and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2019-03-20 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book on two-dimensional geometry uses a problem-solving approach to actively engage students in the learning process. The aim is to guide readers through the story of the subject, while giving them room to discover and partially construct the story themselves. The book bridges the study of plane geometry and the study of curves and surfaces of non-constant curvature in three-dimensional Euclidean space. One useful feature is that the book can be adapted to suit different audiences. The first half of the text covers plane geometry without and with Euclid's Fifth Postulate, followed by a brief synthetic treatment of spherical geometry through the excess angle formula. This part only requires a background in high school geometry and basic trigonometry and is suitable for a quarter course for future high school geometry teachers. A brief foray into the second half could complete a semester course. The second half of the text gives a uniform treatment of all the complete, simply connected, two-dimensional geometries of constant curvature, one geometry for each real number (its curvature), including their groups of isometries, geodesics, measures of lengths and areas, as well as formulas for areas of regions bounded by polygons in terms of the curvature of the geometry and the sum of the interior angles of the polygon. A basic knowledge of real linear algebra and calculus of several (real) variables is useful background for this portion of the text.
